Maternity Cover, 10 months fixed term contract
The Royal Northern College of Music is seeking an experienced information systems analyst, which is a key role within the College’s dynamic Business Systems and Development Unit.
You will be responsible for the submission of statutory returns to HESA and HEFCE, accountable for the operational aspects of the student database, monitoring data integrity, developing MS SQL scripts and Management Information reports for operational and strategic decision support.
The role requires extensive experience in MS SQL development, experience of using a student records system, significant direct experience of processing student statutory returns, a proven ability to work with data rigorously and experience of successfully undertaking quantitative data analysis, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality, and the skills to independently identify and resolve data errors.
The candidate we are seeking will be an experienced analyst and an expert in writing MS T-SQL scripts and have working knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS and Excel. You will have a track record that demonstrates an analytical approach to problem solving and an advanced knowledge of the set-up of student records systems. You must have first-rate communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
