An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a key member of the new Sport Department.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced football coach to lead the development of the DMU Men’s Football 2nd team. You will be responsible for improving the performance of the football teams, especially the Men’s second team.
De Montfort University is undergoing a huge period of change for sport. Having recently invested over £10 million in sports facilities, there is now a desire to increase and enhance the sporting offer to the student body. Many aspects of sport administration are in the process of moving from the Students’ Union to the University, and so there are many exciting times ahead.
Educated to A-level or with equivalent qualifications/experience, you will have achieved a level 2 football coaching qualification. You will have substantial and demonstrable experience of football coaching, ideally within Higher Education.
This role is 7 hours week, for 30 weeks of the year, including training sessions held on Monday, and Thursday evenings, and matches on Wednesday afternoons. The post holder will need to be flexible to attend matches which may take place across the region and beyond.
The successful candidate will be required to attend club trials scheduled to be held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st October 2017, and additional pre-season training prior to the first BUCS match (11th October).
