The Department of Engineering at the University of Leicester is seeking to make an academic appointment who conducts teaching in the field of Engineering Management. As Lecturer you will be encouraged to conduct research aligned with one of the Department of Engineering’s research groups.
You must have a PhD (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering or a closely related field. You must also demonstrate a growing research record of international standing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the ability to apply for funding and supervise PhD students.
You will be expected to undertake teaching, tutoring and administrative duties across a range of engineering courses.
You will also contribute to the development and delivery of courses and materials to enhance teaching delivery and to support the work of the Department in developing and enhancing its reputation, both internal and external to the University. You will have a particular focus on contributing to the further growth and success of the Department’s innovative Masters Engineering Management (MEM) degree, developed to produce the next generation of engineering leaders.
