Detail information about job Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Control of T Cell Activation. Terms and conditions vacancy

We are seeking to appoint a well-trained, enthusiastic, and self-motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join Dr Omer Dushek's Wellcome Trust funded research team.

The project involves quantitative measurements of human T cell responses when presented with recombinant ligands to the T cell antigen receptor with various combinations of recombinant ligands to accessory receptors. Candidates with previous experience in isolating and culturing primary human T cells, general molecular biology skills (including viral transductions), functional cellular assays including ELISAs and flow cytometry, and quantitative data analysis skills would be especially welcome.

This project is part of a team effort whereby the post-holder will be working with an experienced biochemist (already in post) who will be providing recombinant proteins and an applied mathematician who will be assisting in data analysis. Therefore, the post holder must have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team with good organisational and communication skills. The post holder must have a strong publication record. The post holder should hold a PhD in experimental molecular/cellular immunology or related field or have relevant experience.

To apply, please upload a CV and cover letter below.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 18 September 2017. Interviews will be held shortly thereafter.
