The School of Engineering and Informatics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering.
The School would welcome applications from candidates whose research interests lie in areas related to the technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles, particularly focused on improved electric engine technologies, vehicle energy recovery systems, vehicle control, battery control and vehicle communication technologies. We are seeking an individual who can strengthen the internationally leading research activities of the Dynamics, Control and Vehicle Research Group and contribute to establishing new interdisciplinary research in electric vehicle technologies at the School.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level in areas such as engine technology, vehicle technology, automotive power systems or electromechanics. The successful applicant will be supported with an appropriate start-up package to help them establish their independent research portfolio.
