We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Music Industry. You will contribute to teaching in the music industry strand of our undergraduate programmes, the MA Business of Classical Music (BoCM), a new programme developed with and delivered in partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (RLP), and the MA Music Industry Studies. You will supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including potentially those of PhD students. You will also liaise with the RLP to facilitate and assess student work placements. You should have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in a relevant area, with experience both of working in the creative industries, as well as of teaching in Higher Education. We are seeking an individual with the versatility to contribute across the range of our music industry provision, but with expertise in areas including audience development, artistic planning and business management in the context of classical music to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We would expect you to contribute 4* outputs to Music’s REF submission, and have plans for the development of research impact and bids for external research funding. The role also requires excellent communication and administration skills.
