Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 201701098) 

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences for the research team on mammalian developmental genetics, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis. 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the relevant disciplines in molecular biology or biomedical sciences. They should ideally have 3 years’ post-doctoral research experience, with a track record of high quality impactful research as indicated by publications and research grants. They should also have demonstrated abilities in student supervision and team work. Preference will be given to those with expertise in mouse models of human diseases, neuroscience or cell biology. 

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
