This full-time post is available immediately on a 7 month fixed term basis.

Physics and Astronomy is a dynamic teaching and research centre based at the Streatham campus in Exeter. The College wishes to recruit a Lecturer (Education and Scholarship) to support the delivery of modules and tutorials at undergraduate level in Physics.
The post will involve teaching, namely giving lectures and/or tutorials for modules in the Physics degree programme (for example fundamental modules in classical and quantum physics), with the precise duties to be determined by the Director of Education, depending on areas of expertise and previous experience. The successful applicant will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent in Physics to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning in this academic area. They will use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students. They will participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.
The successful applicant will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline level beyond their own teaching. Staff at this level are expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
