Location: University Park
Salary: £29,301 to £33,943 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Applications are invited for the above post to work with Dr Neil Roach, Professor Paul McGraw & Dr Chris Scholes on a Fight for Sight funded project investigating the use of fixational eye movements to measure visual sensitivity in individuals with and without visual impairment. The project aims to develop an objective and automated approach to visual assessment and benchmark its performance in clinical testing scenarios.
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area at the time of taking up the post and be registered with the General Optical Council for the provision of ophthalmic services. Previous experience with eye movement recording is desirable but not essential.
This post is available from 1 October 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of September 2019.
