The IT department at Birmingham City University is seeking an experienced permanent IT Trainer. You will work within a small team of trainers led by the IT Training Manager. You will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering suitable workshops and training interventions for staff and students in a wide range of applications and technologies. These include various Office 365 applications, SharePoint 2010, as well as University applications.

Training delivery ranges from individual coaching to tutor led workshops, and may be delivered face to face or via Skype for Business. You will be expected to deliver inductions to large groups of new students as well as assisting in setting up personal devices on the University Wi-Fi etc. You will also offer advice on best practice and improvements to business processes relating to the use of IT where appropriate.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about the customer experience and has excellent communication skills. You will be someone who has the ability to work with multiple teams on projects and who can build relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to identify opportunities for learning interventions.
