BRING THE FUTURE TO LEICESTER, FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

Located at the heart of the UK, Leicester ranks among the world’s top 1% of universities. Since we were founded, our ambition has stayed the same: we want to use education and research to make new discoveries, and offer hope to future generations – changing the world for the better.

As we approach our 100th birthday next year, we’re sharpening our focus on innovation by driving excellence across research, teaching and enterprise. With more than 20,000 students, we’re proud to be one of the UK's most socially inclusive universities, committed to providing fairer and equal access to higher education. And we’re already developing bold initiatives that put us at the forefront of change.

Right now, we’re investing £25m in Space Park Leicester, and c£500m to modernise our campus. But we’re constantly seeking new ways to compete for students and funding even more effectively in an ever increasingly competitive global market. That’s why we’ve created this brand new role, which is your opportunity to be part of our exciting journey.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer and overseeing a team including three direct reports, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our worldwide student attraction and engagement strategy, driving up domestic and international student numbers and improving student attraction and engagement on a global scale.

You will be an authoritative source of advice and guidance to senior staff and major committees on international student issues. You’ll also ensure that the university admissions process is fair, transparent and capable of responding to an increasingly competitive student recruitment environment.

As well as managing university-wide resources and building collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders, you’ll be hands-on with an exceptional understanding of the sector-wide challenges and opportunities around student recruitment.

We’re looking for a proven senior strategic leader within the marketing/management industry or higher education sector, educated to degree level or equivalent.

In return for your innovative ideas, your commitment and your passion, you’ll benefit from 24 days’ annual leave (plus 6 closure days and bank holidays), a pension, discounted gym membership, and childcare voucher scheme plus a range of other benefits.
