We are seeking a Research Assistant in Chemical Biology (Molecular and Cellular Biology). Reporting to the Chemical Biology Group Leader, the main responsibility of this post is to perform and develop cellular assays and model systems to study the function of disease-relevant genes and determine the cellular effects of small molecule probes using a variety of functional assays.
You will have a degree in biology or biotechnology and have demonstrable experience in cell culture and molecular biology. You must be well organised, precise and reliable in performance and reporting and have experience in basic general lab practice (cell biology, PCR, microscopy, lab instrumentation). Demonstrable experience in CRISPR genome editing is a requirement; applicants with additional experience in immunofluorescence microscopy assays are particularly encouraged to apply.
This full-time position is fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.
