BPP University Business School was formed in 2005 and prepares students for a career in the professions. We offer a range of postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in the areas of Business, Accounting, Management, Banking, Finance, Marketing and Human Resources with varying levels of speciality.
The Role
BPP Business School is recruiting for a Lecturer specialising in work based learning postgraduate programmes to accommodate the rapid growth being achieved by the school and teach on our degree programmes. We are looking for highly motivated, practitioner experienced lecturers to bring high quality teaching, project supervision and module leadership into the School.
We are seeking candidates who have a wide and current understanding of the general business discipline (including but not limited to Business Strategy and Business Operations) but also how business skill set are developed, this experience will help develop modules which can take this knowledge and apply it to work based settings, these modules seek to improve student’s employability.
What we’re looking for
With a Level 7 academic or professional qualification, the successful candidate will have significant practitioner experience in a relevant business, management or vocational learning field along with experience of coaching, supervising and mentoring students.
The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in teaching at the graduate or professional level or in delivering training and seminars. Ideally they will also have experience in writing engaging learning materials for face to face and online delivery. A teaching qualification or Fellowship of the HEA is desirable – alternatively a commitment to achieving either of these through BPP’s PGCPE (Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education) or Headway, BPP’s accredited CPD scheme is required.
Commercially and educationally focussed with leadership and coaching skills, you will be highly organised with a proven track record of delivering on time. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to prioritise your own work. Digitally literate, you will have a flexible and responsive approach to your workload and the ability to proactively prioritise accordingly.
