Brunel University London has exciting plans to rise in the ranks of the world’s elite universities and to increase in size and impact. Central to our vision is our integrated Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment team of over 100, who will build the University’s profile, deliver effective recruitment marketing and improve the way the University works together as we continue to grow and change. The Events team sits within this directorate.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Events Coordinator to join our team at Brunel. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are planning some of our largest events of the year, including the Brunel Fireworks display and Winter Graduation.
Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, you’ll be part of a busy team involved in managing events from concept to delivery. You’ll work with a diverse range of colleagues across the University to deliver a professional events service. Providing a high level of administrative assistance to the events team, you will also support the preparation and delivery of key University events such as public lectures, conferences and awards events.
As the first point of contact in the team, you will be a clear communicator with a high level of customer service and an excellent telephone manner. You will also be an experienced team administrator, able to develop budget spreadsheets and work with event management and booking systems. You will also need to operate effectively as part of the team, as well as develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the University and also with external suppliers.
This role will require you to work some unsociable hours, both in the evenings and weekends.
