The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) at the University of Oxford is looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual with excellent people skills to act as the first line of contact to enquirers to the department and to provide support for our busy Events programme.
Working in central Oxford as part of a friendly and busy administrative team, you will provide high quality administrative support to senior members of staff, including dealing with correspondence and telephone calls, arranging meetings and maintaining diary and travel arrangements. You will provide key support for our Events programme, helping us to plan and deliver a range of high-quality events.
As the successful candidate, you will have a friendly professional approach that enables you to work effectively as part of a team and to liaise at all levels. You will be responsible and efficient and will enjoy a variety of demanding tasks as well as routine duties. You should be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills and experience in handling confidential information with tact and discretion would be an advantage.
This is a full-time position and is available immediately for 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to pursue a career in University administration and the postholder will be encouraged to take advantage of the many training opportunities offered by the University.
