This is an exciting time to join our new School, which is being formed by the merger of academic provision in sports and exercise science, sports therapy and physiotherapy, combined with significant new investment in a key area that we intend to grow into a distinctive world-leading group.
The Role and Duties
The Outreach Assistant will work as part of the School’s Human Performance Unit team to deliver activities within targeted schools and colleges to promote the School and develop, organise and deliver outreach events. They will also be responsible for maintenance of the scientific equipment used during outreach activities.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The successful candidate will hold a degree or an equivalent qualification and be a recent Sports and Exercise Science graduate of the University of Essex. You will also have experience of delivering education projects, activities or events as well as an understanding of the principles associated with exercise physiology and metabolism, altitude training and sports nutrition.
