Main Purpose of the PostInformation Services and Systems (ISS) provides library, academic and corporate ICT services, management information, media and careers services to the staff and students at the University. It also provides services to other academic institutions, project partners and the general public.

ISS seek to appoint a highly motivated individual who will work with the IT Project Manager to drive forward the implementation, through a structured project framework, of key projects relating to a range of services provided by IT Services. The role requires strong project management, change management, communication skills and the ability to work with and influence stakeholders of all levels across the university.  Business analysis skills will also be required, with a background in IT and experience of dealing with technical teams in the delivery of information systems.”

The Senior IT Project Leader will be expected to work with the project manager and deliver these projects within the agreed budget whilst achieving the objectives and deliverables of each project. The Senior IT Project Leader will be responsible for writing project documentation and reporting to the project manager and if required to internal and external project sponsors and funders, and will be expected to report to project monitoring meetings.

The Senior IT Project Leader will be responsible for the co-ordination and completion of their projects and to this end will perform a variety of tasks, sometimes within tight deadlines. The role requires the ability to adapt to changing demands and conditions.

The Senior IT Project Leader will report to the Project Manager and relevant Project Steering groups. They will be expected to monitor work and resources, organise tasks and report progress to senior managers and stakeholders.  They will also aim to improve project administration.

This post will run a multi-faceted initiative to deliver university wide learning analytics capabilities, supporting improved learning and teaching. Will be responsible for the completion of the attendance monitoring phase of the project; a review of university attendance processes, completing the implementation of electronic attendance monitoring, looking for opportunities to rationalise and improve other related systems and ultimately providing accurate and meaningful attendance data.
