Working closely with Fellows, Officers and Committees of the Academy the successful candidate will support the monitoring and reporting of the Academy’s research funding opportunities, as well as in the decision-making processes for the delivery of funding schemes and awards, including organising and managing selection meetings.
The role will require the candidate to implement and deliver to a high standard, funding opportunities for the research community, including: pre and post award management; planning and budgeting; advising applicants, award-holders and assessors; monitoring and reporting on award outcomes; producing statistics and summary reports; and maintaining effective information databases.
The post-holder can expect a very high profile and a steep learning curve, so we will expect them to be of graduate calibre and experienced in grant administration and research. Ideally the successful applicant will bring a humanities or social science background and will be well versed in the higher education system, very organised and methodical in their approach, and comfortable dealing with changing priorities.
