The Student Records Administrator will play a key role within Academic Registry supporting and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of information held on the University's student records system. The role will involve reporting changes, confirming student attendance and updating course information on the Student Loan portal, updating students Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) records as well as liaising with staff and students in relation to queries on SLC funding and the HEAR.
You will need to be proficient in entering and maintaining data on a database with an eye for detail and accuracy. You will need to be able to work independently and organise your time as well as working effectively within a team. In addition you will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to work flexibly in order to meet business needs. Experience of Higher Education administration would be desirable.
The Academic Registry is responsible for supporting Senate and its sub-committees, for maintaining the University's academic regulations and for overseeing academic policies and procedures, and for supporting quality and standards in the University's academic provision, including that delivered by collaborative partners. The department is also responsible for timetabling all teaching activities across the University campuses in liaison with faculties and ensuring the smooth running of examinations across the university. The Academic Registry also administers student academic appeals at the formal level.
