Grade 5: £24,983 - £29,799 with a discretionary range to £32,548 p.a.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the country’s most successful higher education fundraising team, and contribute to its current campaign – the largest and most ambitious in Europe, which has a goal of £3bn.

We are looking for a highly versatile and motivated team player to join the Sport Development team in this key administration role. Flexible, adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities, you will provide vital administrative support to the Bodleian’s Development team.  Your role will also encompass tasks such as drafting correspondence and arranging mailings, database entry and creating reports, helping arrange events, taking minutes at meetings, helping with travel arrangements, processing gifts and ad hoc projects.

As well as quick to learn and able to interface with many different people and organisations, both inside and outside the University, you will provide close support to the Head of Development – Sport and be capable of working on your own initiative.

Collaborative working and good stewardship are pivotal to the success of the team. You will be confident and diplomatic, with excellent communication skills, a flair for organisation, and with a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database packages. A keen interest in sport would be advantageous.

This post is part of a pilot scheme testing a new Supporting Evidence form in place of the more usual ‘supporting statement’. Please ensure that you carefully read the How to Apply section provided in the Job Description, which you can download below along with the required Supporting Evidence form.

Only applications received before 12.00 noon on Monday 18 September 2017 can be considered. Interviews are currently anticipated to take place on Thursday 28 September 2017.
