The role and its responsibilities

This is a strategic position within the Research and Enterprise Office aimed at maximising engagement with SOAS research among a range of stakeholders and audiences. The post holder will coordinate and manage a key project aimed at developing an institutional strategy for Public Engagement with Research, and sustainably embedding it within the School.

Skills and experience

Experience of communicating specialist research to external audiences, the ability to interact and cooperate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and extensive project management experience are required for this role.

The Research and Enterprise Office (REO) at SOAS works across the School to secure external funding and income, to support research excellence, and to facilitate knowledge exchange. REO’s core units are the Research Office, Enterprise Office, Research Information and Strategy Unit, Centres and Programmes Office and Journals Office.
