Six month contract to cover maternity leave.

Ethical Tissue, the University of Bradford Human Research Tissue Bank is a licensed, ethically approved tissue bank providing the wider research community with human tissue samples for relevant biomedical research ( 

The role of the Research Nurse is to support this important activity by obtaining informed consent and the relevant clinical information from patients and healthy volunteers to donate tissue as required by the various studies.

The Research Nurse will also be able to present the case to differing Clinical Specialities in the Bradford Hospitals in order to recruit specific cohorts of patients, liaising with both the Tissue Bank and Theatres to arrange the timely transfer of tissue.

You will enjoy working independently and flexibly whilst being a good communicator, responding to the opportunities as they occur to advance the activity of the tissue bank in a professional manner.
