The School of Life Sciences is at the forefront of research in the biological sciences in the UK, coming in the top 10 in the REF 2014.

We wish to appoint a talented scientist with experience in protein production and structural biology. This position is located within the Sussex Drug Discovery Centre, which is actively involved in the validation and prosecution of novel therapeutic targets in the oncology, respiratory and neuroscience areas. As an active practical scientist, you will be responsible for protein production and crystallisation of one of our target in the neuroscience field.

The role holder will work closely with assay screeners, electrophysiologists, chemoinformaticians and medicinal chemists within the Sussex Drug Discovery group and the University.

We seek to appoint a highly motivated individual who will make a significant contribution to making this project a success. An inquisitive mind, strong practical skills and the ability to make individual contributions in a team setting are essential.
