We are seeking a clinical researcher with a healthcare professional background to work in a multidisciplinary research team developing, and assessing, diabetes technology. This is a commercially funded post as part of an investigator led award to Imperial College to measure the effectiveness of flat and circadian basal insulin infusion rates in people with type 1 diabetes new to insulin pump therapy. The main responsibility of the post-holder is to support the clinical studies of the system.

The successful candidate must be a registered healthcare professional with clinical research experience, previous experience with type 1 diabetes and insulin pump therapy, and must have been on ICH Good Clinical Practice training course.  Key relationships will be with the research supervisor, lead clinicians, diabetes services - external and internal, particularly the type 1 diabetes Clinic team on the ICHT St Mary’s and Charing Cross campus; also with the diabetes and endocrinology research staff at ICHT including administrative personnel and research fellows and nurses.
