£39,324 - £46,924 per annum, with potential to progress to £52,793 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
Student Services has a wide remit with teams supporting the whole student ‘journey’, including student recruitment, lifelong learning, learning and teaching services, student support and student employability.
This post is based in the Student Administration Service (Academic & Learning Services) of Student Services. The Student Administration Service comprises seven teams each responsible for one of the following student-related functions: Registration; Fees; Examinations; Results & Awards, Engagement & Progress; Conduct & Appeals; and Information & Developments. The Service is responsible for creating and maintaining student records, and for operating associated business processes, in accordance with University Regulations, Policies and Procedures. It is also responsible for providing support and advice to staff and students in respect of these functions.
The Student Registration Manager is responsible for all student registration processes, with responsibility for ensuring the:
- delivery of the services provided by the Registration Team
- review and development of all associated procedures and policies
- implementation of processes for the collection and storage of registered student immigration documents, and the reporting of students, as required by the UKVI
- line management of the Senior Student Registration Administrator.
Over the coming 2-3 years, the Registration Team Manager will have an additional responsibility to contribute expertise and support in relation to the implementation of a new Student System (SITS eVision), and any part thereof which impacts on student registration process or vice-versa.
You will have a good honours degree or equivalent work experience. You will have worked in the Higher Education sector and will have devised and implemented administrative processes and policies. You will be experienced in the administration of student records and have a good understanding of data confidentiality issues. You will be experienced in service delivery and will have effected service improvement. You will have a strong record in staff management and development. You will have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
