EUSA - Academic Internship Experts is seeking to appoint a Program Manager to our London team based in South Kensington.
Overview
EUSA Academic Internship Experts works with universities, departments, and individual professors to create and deliver customized, academically-directed internship programs in London, Dublin, Madrid, Paris, and Prague. EUSA's services include internship placement, housing, academic program development, and program management/safety. London is EUSA’s flagship site, placing over a thousand students a year in a rapidly evolving internship market. London operates within a challenging and constantly shifting regulatory framework, requiring careful monitoring and compliance.
The London Program Manager is responsible for student engagement, and logistical management and contributes to the delivery of our London programs. Areas of specific responsibility include, but are not limited to, Tier 4 Visa guidance and support, student programming and social activities, liaison with housing providers and support of student life management, and customer services.
Reporting Relationships
The London Program Manager reports to the EUSA London Director.
Responsibilities
- Planning, development and delivery of student calendars and associated program events
- Creation and distribution of student materials
- Attendance monitoring to ensure compliance for Tier 4 student visas
- Visa application support: collation and verification of student materials, shared responsibility for issuing CAS and visa advising
- Plan, attend and supervise student events including arrivals/departures and out of hour events
- Coordination of the arrival, orientation and departure of incoming students –including airport pickups/drop offs
- Logistical management of academic services, including faculty timetabling, classroom space provision, associated course materials, recording attendance, and collation and submission of academic course evaluation materials
- Screen and short list housing for students, troubleshoot housing issues with providers
- First point of contact on student issues
- 24 hour emergency care on call duty shared with other London team members
- Undertake other duties as may be required
- Weekly meetings with London Director
Profile and Requirements
- Able to work legally in UK
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Leadership skills and an ability to motivate others
- Knowledge of Tier 4 regulations and compliance is essential
- Understanding of all aspects academic internship programs, including student life
- Understanding of the US higher education system is essential
- Bachelors degree required, a graduate degree is desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English; other European languages desirable
- Knowledge of FileMaker Pro and Mac OS
