UK-Med is a world renowned charity based in Manchester, UK. We recruit and train UK health care workers to provide a volunteer emergency medical response at times of catastrophe overseas. We are a core partner in the delivery of the UK Emergency Medical Team programme funded by the Department for International Development.
We have experienced rapid growth in recent times and seek a high calibre and energetic leader to consolidate and further develop our organisation.
Chief Executive
The successful candidate for the post of Chief Executive will be a senior health care professional, experienced in humanitarian emergencies and able to provide oversight and development to UK-Med’s programme of activities. They will have a proven record of strategic leadership with considerable expertise in humanitarian and emergency medical response. They will demonstrate highly developed management and implementation skills to further UK-Med’s wider Pre-deployment and Emergency Preparedness programmes. The Chief Executive will be responsible to the Board of Trustees.
Candidates must be willing and able to deploy as part of an emergency response.
The post is offered on a fixed term basis to 31 December 2020 with possibility for extension. Salary is to be agreed.
