This role is part of the Social Sciences Partnerships, Impact and Knowledge Exchange Team (SSPIKE) in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The SSPIKE team helps facilitate effective collaborations, exchanges, and engagement activities which enrich research and ensure a lasting and positive impact on society. SSPIKE provides support for external partnerships and broader engagement across the Faculty of Social Sciences, through a combination of training, financial support, and practical advice.
You will play a key support role in the delivery of a strategic approach to knowledge exchange (KE) and impact by working with faculty colleagues, departments, and research centres to promote, establish, and support the development of KE and impact strategies. You will also play an important role in developing the Faculty’s impact strategy for the REF, particularly in relation to impact case studies, as well as supporting our ambitions around policy engagement and partnership development.
You will have a good honours degree (or equivalent experience) and experience or detailed understanding of social sciences research. Experience of providing support for and delivery of research, knowledge exchange, and impact, preferably at a large university or similar organisation, is essential.
This post is full-time, fixed-term with a start date of 2 October 2017 and an end date of 31 December 2018. The closing date for applications is 11 September 2017.
