A brand new administrative position has been created within the Examinations Team to provide administrative support to the running of examinations for students requiring alternative provision. The role would be best suited to an experienced and organised administrator with a keen interest in supporting students. The successful candidate will be qualified to A level standard or equivalent, with experience of working with computerised administrative systems as well as database packages and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Experience of assessment processes and knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 would be advantageous.

The objectives of this post are to support the organisation, preparation and running of examinations for dyslexic and disabled students with alternative needs. Supporting a positive and seamless experience for students is the main priority for the post holder and working closely with both the Examinations and Wellbeing teams will be essential.

The post holder will have responsibility for:

  • Liaising with staff within Examinations and Wellbeing to deliver exams to alternative provision students
  • Complying with the Equality Act 2010 when supporting the allocation of exams provision to alternative provision students
  • Preparing and collating information for alternative provision examinations
  • Communicating effectively with academic, professional services staff and students in relation to exam arrangements
  • Comparing data to ensure information stored is accurate and up to date.

Applicants should also have a good understanding of:

  • Effective and efficient administration
  • Excellent customer service
  • Effective communication
  • Computerised administrative systems
  • An understanding or appreciation of the needs of dyslexic and disabled students would be an advantage.
