A Research Associate vacancy is available in the Viral Immunology Group, in the group of Dr Ian Humphreys. The group is focused on understanding the immunological factors that modulate antiviral immune responses to viruses, using a combination of in vivo models of infection and clinical studies.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant group studying the balance between immune-driven pathology and antiviral immunity during viral infection. Specifically, the successful candidate will use in vivo infection models and techniques such as genome-wide CRISPR screens and RNA sequencing to examine the immunological factors that regulate the formation of virus-specific T cell memory formation. A background in immunology and/or virology is preferred and previous experience of in vivo experimental models is essential.

This post is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term position and is available from 01/10/2017 until 30/09/2022.
