Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) leverages the power of academia for real world impact to transform individuals, organisations and society. Established in 2015 under the patronage of HRH The Duke of York, KG, the Entrepreneurship Centre at CJBS aims to inspire, enable and research entrepreneurship. It builds on the School's track record in entrepreneurship and consolidating the School's strategy and vision by bringing together the School's programmes and activities in entrepreneurship, building a coherent and coordinated offering in entrepreneurship. The Centre supports the full entrepreneurial journey starting with the empowerment of aspiring entrepreneurs, through the creation and development of early-stage ventures; and all the way to small and medium size enterprise growth.

The Entrepreneurship Centre's mission is to support the University of Cambridge's entrepreneurial talent development and commercialisation of new ideas as well as ideas from the wider community; enhance the development of management capacity within the Cambridge entrepreneurial ecosystem and beyond; develop and share thought-leadership that establishes the University of Cambridge as a global knowledge locus for entrepreneurship; and provide a critical resource for entrepreneurs, mentors and investors.

Reporting jointly to the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre and to the Academic Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre, the Head of Entrepreneurial Learning Programmes and Engagement will lead and manage a series of academic initiatives that pertain to the entrepreneurial learning objectives of the established Entrepreneurship Centre.

You will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver results in a competitive environment.

You will have an established record of:

  • Designing and delivering innovative courses on tech transfer, commercialisation of research and entrepreneurship
  • Teaching on Entrepreneurship courses
  • Active participation in collaborative projects
  • Successful mentoring of student projects
  • Contributing to University committees
  • Management in complex and demanding academic environments
  • Successful fundraising activities in the order of magnitude of £1M

In addition to strong experience of relationship building and management of senior stakeholders and staff, ideally in a business school environment. You will be responsible for resource and operational planning and management, as well as strategic analysis and recommendations to improve our Entrepreneurship courses. Knowledge and experience of service delivery in a challenging customer-focused environment, and the ability to work collaboratively across an internationally diverse group of students, colleagues, alumni and external constituencies are pre-requisites of this role.

A degree in a relevant specialist subject area is essential. Masters level would be desirable.
