Middlesex University is entering a period of change with a new five year strategy and overall vision, which makes staff communications more important than ever. Improving internal communication channels, informing and involving staff from the Vice Chancellor through to junior colleagues in a new culture of staff engagement, developing a sense of pride, shared purpose and community are key features of this role.
Specifically (but not exclusively) this role involves developing the staff communications strategy and operational plans with a particular focus on embedding the new strategy across the institution. The role includes managing a Staff Communications Officer, improving and managing digital engagement channels, researching, writing and editing content for all channels including overseeing a weekly e-newsletter and operational updates from around the University, planning and delivering University staff events; championing two way communication and seeking new and innovative ways to facilitate staff engagement and collaboration.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, experienced in developing and delivering integrated communication campaigns aligned to clear goals and strategies.
