The Broadspectrum UFF Wanganui team have opportunities for experienced Fiber Technicians who are interested in working with a valued client to provide New Zealanders with access to the communications technology of the future. Successful candidates will be working in the field to build and install fiber connections to homes and business premises.
This is a role that will allow you to apply existing skills and experience in a company offering career development either within telecommunications or across a wide range of other industry sectors.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFCATIONS
- Experience in telecommunications fiber installation is essential
- Adherence to Health and Safety requirements and policies in a potentially hazardous work environment is essential
- Basic computer literacy – e.g. use of tablets and laptops for processing work orders and reporting on common software programs
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills are required
- Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors
- A valid full NZ driver’s license (Class 1).
*The successful candidate will also have to participate in an on-call roster.
