Are you looking for a Leading Hand or Site Foreman role that involves a company Ute, top hourly wage and over time rates within a nationwide company who have a huge forward workload?

I am currently looking for some experienced Foreman / Leading Hands to join one of New Zealand’s leading construction companies who have specialized in commercial construction for over 60 years. They have recently secured a large amount of work in Christchurch which is really starting to ramp up. They are now currently seeking experienced leading hands or site foreman that will be able oversee these projects.

You will be required to jump on the tools from time to time and also lead a team of carpenters to complete tasks such as form work, framing, cladding, finishing as well as conducting administrative duties such as emails, ordering materials, site meetings/toolbox talks and other general site management duties.

It is essential that you are fully qualified Carpenter and have a proven track record in commercial construction. You will need to have experience managing crews of tradesmen and be able to provide examples of where you have worked towards deadlines, carried out tasks such as ordering materials and liaising with developers and subcontractors.

They are looking for someone with a great attitude towards work and their fellow workers. The ideal person will be flexible and willing to develop their career within the business.

A full set of tools, reliable transport, excellent references relating to your construction experience are essential.
