Position: Regulatory and Quality Co-ordinator
Reports to: Technical Manager
Location: Auckland (North Shore)
Hours of work: 30 - flexible

Summary
Orion AgriScience is seeking the services of a Regulatory and Quality Co-ordinator. Orion AgriScience is a leading supplier of crop protection and animal health products in New Zealand.
The primary function of the Regulatory and Quality Co-ordinator is to administer product quality processes, ensure technical documents such as SDS’s, Safety Notes and Product Specifications are proactively managed, liaise with outside organisations to maintain product listings, and to assist with documentation relating to agricultural chemical registration and approval.
The secondary function of the Regulatory and Quality Co-ordinator is to assist the Technical Manager in other areas relating to product management, new product development, health and safety, and regulatory approvals. This is a role that would suit an enthusiastic individual with an interest in QA and compliance relating to the primary industries.
Key Accountabilities
- Quality control processes
- Take QC samples and administer testing processes with laboratories
- Administer and investigate quality improvement opportunities
- Manage technical document libraries
- Proactively manage changes or generation of new documents such as
- SDS’s
- Safety Notes
- Product Specifications
- Product labels
- Proactively manage changes or generation of new documents such as
- Manage product listings and notifications with outside organisations such as
- Spray Councils
- Organic accreditation agencies
- Emergency response providers
- Regulatory work
- Assist colleagues in administering requirements relating to
- Product registrations under MPI
- Product approvals under EPA
- Assist colleagues in administering requirements relating to
- Other Duties
- Assist with other technical and regulatory tasks as required
Qualifications, Technical Skills, Knowledge and Ability
- A science related qualification.
- Familiarity with chemicals and related terminology.
- Advanced written English skills.
- Hold a current NZ driver’s license
- Background in agriculture is useful but not essential
