The Security Care & Emergency Manager reports to the Director of Facilities Management; and is responsible for leading a team across multiple sites in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. The primary purpose is to provide for the security, care and emergency practices enterprise-wide.

  • Cost centre management and business planning

Providing a safe and secure environment and minimising the risk of harm to staff, and other key stakeholders is paramount.
  
Inspirational leadership and management of the security care and emergency management team is critical; and working collegially with other colleagues will be too. Coaching for improved performance, providing feedback to team members and working as one team will ensure a good fit for this role.
  
Key competencies will be having good judgement and decision-making skills and the ability to build relationships easily across a diversity of internal and external stakeholders. Highly influential, the person sought will relish providing safety and security services, guidance and advice to the wider business with induction programmes and strategies to resolve any issues as and when they may arise. You will proactively take the lead in responding to emergencies or incidents, coordinating across relevant agencies and stakeholder groups. The ideal person will have an infinity for technology as new CCTV, and Access Card technology is soon to be implemented. 
  
This is a senior role that reports to the Director of Facilities Management and they seek someone that is self-managing, ensures that there are ‘no surprises’, and with whom they can build a trusting relationship. They will set the strategic direction and leave ‘the how’ up to you to decide.
