About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager NZ the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for management and overseeing the operations at the Resort
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management
- Effectively manage the on-site manager(s) at the properties the position is responsible for.
- Ensure contracted service levels and met or exceeded at each managed property.
- Ensure all bi-annual inspections in regards to Health and Safety are carried out.
- Ensure all Human Resources processes and procedures are communication to resorts and in line with Classic Holidays Standards.
- Monitor in-house and external customer ratings to ensure that all resorts attain or are working to attain high ratings.
Financial
- Prepare Annual Budgets with assistance from on-site managers, head accountant and finalise with Operations Manager and COO.
- Review quarterly (and if required monthly) and report on operational and financial activities to ensure all resorts are operating in line with their budgets. Prepare reviews on variances greater than 5%.
- Ensure that Refurbishment and Long Term Maintenance Fund provisions are in link with projections and are adequate to fulfil annual requirements.
Resort & Property Management
- Plan, organise and ensure successful execution of resort refurbishment
- Work with on-site managers to ensure the smooth day to day operation of resorts and properties the position is responsible for and in line with Classic Holidays policies and procedures.
- Ensure Long Term Maintenance Plan is kept up to date to at least meet minimum statutory requirements.
Committee & Bodies Corporate
- Actively work to foster an excellent working relationship with committees at the resorts that the position is responsible for.
- Ensure that all statutory responsibilities of the bodies corporate that the position is responsible for meet their statutory obligation.
- Act as Body Corporate Secretary and provide administration support.
- Prepare AGM and Committee reports.
Intra Company Interactions
- Work closely and productively with all other departments in New Zealand and Australia,
