We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to be involved in our modern Indian restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented chef who has at least 2-3 year's work experience in a professional kitchen with a proven record of cooking with Indian spices and Tandoori ovens.
Located in a very popular inner-city suburb of Auckland (Kingsland), this newly established sensation is set with a vision to create an award-winning dining experience.
You will work closely with the Managing Directors and head chef to maintain a modern menu, ensure smooth delivery of meals and consistent quality whilst continuing to support the team to be focused on our guests needs. You will be a committed professional looking for a long term career path within the company.
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- A passion for food and presenting a menu with a difference
- Positive attitude, creativity & energy and a good work ethic
- Knows their way around a Tandoor oven
- Confidence in working with Indian spices, traditional and contemporary
- Proven ability to make, cook and serve beautiful curry
- Able to hit the ground running & work autonomously
- An understanding of financials, operations and systems
- Great leadership skills & the ability to motivate a kitchen team to consistently perform at their best while working closely with the FOH.

- The ability to cope under pressure
- Quality, customer & service focused
- A strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills
- A valid driver's licence.
Candidates who are Computer literate will have an added advantage.
