Waldorf Stadium Serviced Apartment Hotel is a 172 apartment hotel.  We are looking for someone with proven housekeeping experience in a supervisory role of staff rostering, training and motivating a team within a hotel environment – preferably 4.5 star.   All applicants will need to be living in New Zealand at time of application.

You are required to have excellent time management skills while under pressure and the ability to motivate and organise housekeeping staff to ensure that effective cleaning control standards as well as Health and Safety regulations will be implemented.

You will take pride in your housekeeping teams and ensure that all services offered to guests through your department are available and are carried out with efficiency and courtesy to the highest standard.

Your positive attitude along with being a people person is what we are looking for. Employment of housekeeping staff and their on-going training to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with maximum efficiency is a role within the company that you will be used to.

Main Task Revolve around:

  • Determining work requirements
  • Coordinate activities with other organisational units
  • Maintaining records and rosters 
  • Allocating duties to Housekeepers
  • Explaining and enforcing safety regulations
  • Overseeing the work of the unit and suggesting improvements and changes
  • Conferring with workers to resolve grievances
  • May perform front hotel reception or any other managerial / supervisory duties as and when required

We are seeking an individual who has:

  • Relevant Qualification in Hospitality / Management / Business  
  • At least 1 year experience in a Supervisory / Managerial position 
  • Min 2 year experience in similar Hospitality / Hotel Industry  
  • A passion for excellence in Hospitality service
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work on Weekends / Public Holidays
  • Willing to work in shift work
  • Ability to motivate staff
  • Honest, Punctual and Hard Working
  • Knowledge of Time Target and Room Master will be advantageous

 

You have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit for a minimum of twelve months and have good English language skills.
