We currently have a Junior Sous Chef position available.
This role would suit a strong Chef de Partie looking to step up and move to the next level. You will be working alongside and supporting the Head Chef in leading an experienced Kitchen brigade in a busy a la carte and banqueting operation. You should be an excellent team player and able to fit into a small but dedicated team committed to producing food of the highest quality for both our members and guests.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:
- Passion, flair and commitment to delivering exceptional food
- Excellent product knowledge, creative with the ability to develop ideas with the team
- Wastage, ordering and stock control
- Sound understanding of all aspects of Food Control Plan and able to follow and keep records up to date
- Good communicator and follower of instructions
- Clean, reliable and willing to go the extra mile
- Extensive experience with the operational mandates of a busy, high-end food and beverage environment including functions and events
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise, multi task, cope under pressure and problem solve
- Positive hands on approach with proven results in developing people
- Ability to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
This is a permanent, full-time position and requires a reliable, hands-on and self-motivated individual. Weekend and evening work required. Salary is negotiable.
