The Jones Family Business is launching a Flagship Kitchen Things store in the heart of Newmarket and we are looking for a Luxury Collection Showroom Co-ordinator to join us on this very new and exciting journey!

We have been the market leaders in premium European cooking appliance sales for over 30 years and are 100% NZ owned and operated.   For this new store, Kitchen Things: The Luxury Collection, we are bringing the world’s best appliance brands together including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Gaggenau, Liebherr, Asko, Smeg, Miele and Neff.

Our brand new, large format flagship store in Newmarket will be a first of its kind with multiple working kitchens with intimate dinner experience opportunities.  The store has been built to the highest standard and has more than just kitchen and laundry appliances on offer to create a luxury offer for our consumers.

About the role
Essentially your role will be the back bone of the showroom.  You will be involved in for planning and executing events and client functions while providing a high level of customer service and delivering quality administrative support across the business in an efficient and timely manner.

This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your event and exceptional customer service skills.

Duties & main responsibilities

  • Coordination and management of various client events ensuring successful execution of the event 
  • Meet and greet potential clients and assist with administrative support 
  • Support our busy team
  • Assisting with daily  duties such as co-ordinating appointments, meeting and greeting clients, ensuring showroom is always presented at its best.
  • Assisting our cooking tutors
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholder

Skills & experience
You will be well known for your organisational ability and promptness to action tasks.  With a solution focus your natural customer service style will add value immediately!

  • Ideally you will have a relevant background in Customer Service - hospitality/ Administration or a similar events coordination position however this may suit a switched on graduate with a go-getter attitude 
  • You will be a clear, confident and polished communicator 
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • You will have the ability to work autonomously and work to task, effectively meeting the required deadlines
  • You will have a focused yet flexible approach to your work
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • The ability to communicate well in the luxury market
  • Strong initiative
  • Professional in presentation and outlook
  • You will be comfortable with MS Office (MS Word & MS Excel)
  • Ideally you will have a relevant tertiary qualification
