The Queen’s Head Bar & Eatery

Four Points by Sheraton Auckland is home to the iconic Queen’s Head Bar & Eatery, which has a history stretching back to the 1800s. The gastro pub is open all day, serving up simple but delicious New Zealand comfort food with a modern twist. Dishes will always be home cooked with the freshest seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible.

An ever-changing craft beer menu, courtesy of the Four Points Signature Best Brews™ program will keep even the most discerning beer lover happy. A range of New Zealand and international wines are also available.

 

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, passionate Sous Chef to hit the ground running at Four Points by Sheraton Auckland. You will be joining a highly experienced culinary team. Together, you will enjoy the challenge that comes with working for a new hotel and establishing a reputation on the Auckland food scene.

 

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in high-volume, well-rated restaurants.
  • Prior experience training and mentoring young chefs.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
  • Genuine excitement and passion for the industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • An interest in using New Zealand ingredients, provided by local, sustainable producers.
  • Above all, you should be keen to learn and committed to achieving the very best.
