The Job:

To make sure we leave a lasting impression, we’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated FULL TIME ASSISTANT MANAGER to join our team at HOYTS ENTX to help incite passion in our crew members through strong leadership. We are looking for an incredibly motivated manager that thinks beyond the traditional cinema landscape.

Located in the rapidly redeveloping CBD of Christchurch, EntX will boast a cinema experience like no other in New Zealand. The cinema will exclusively feature reclining seats in all cinemas. This 7-screen complex includes 2 Xtreme Screens and 2 LUX screens, all with powered recliner seating. All our guests will have the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the movie in comfort. The cinema will have an expanded food and beverage offering including a selection of hot foods, Arties Bar/Café and a state of art Treat City.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting directly to the Location Manager, you will be responsible for bringing the brand and concepts to life, and managing all aspects of the day to day operations. This role will be responsible for developing service operations and leading the team on shift to deliver the best experience to every guest. This role is very fast paced and needs a professional who can work under pressure while supporting a dynamic team.

You’ll also be able to evaluate the numbers to understand trends in your business and act quickly to improve short-falls and celebrate the wins. You’re known for your abilities to plan, organise and multi-task, and stay calm and confident under pressure.

What you’ll need:

• Previous leadership experience in a similar environment
• Proven ability setting, articulating and exceeding KPI targets through engaging, training and empowering the team
• We want a dreamer, someone who can come up with creative ways to help our high-performance focused business
• An outgoing personality with a real drive for exceeding guest experiences
• Familiarity with audio visual equipment, including film projection (desirable)
• Experience in customer service and responding to guest feedback
• A can-do attitude as no challenge is too big for you
