The Hermitage is looking for a Bar Person extraordinaire to be the face of our iconic Snowline Bar and part of a great team of Food & Beverage Attendants.
We welcome both local and international guests to experience this unique environment with us and our aim is to build a team that can perform with poise and efficiency regardless of the volume of guests. Our busy and dynamic Restaurant / Bar means that every day is different, but our focus is always to greet our guests as they walk through the door with energy and enthusiasm.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous bar experience in a large hotel or restaurant
- Sound knowledge of NZ wine and beer
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- A high standard of personal presentation
- An energetic personality
- Strong communication skills
- General Managers Certificate or License Controller Qualification (preferred)

You will be able to deliver outstanding customer service while serving great drinks on a daily basis.
We provide training to ensure you're kept up to speed with our products, our services, our standards, and our expectations. You should be flexible with a can-do approach and looking to learn throughout your time with us. At the heart of our service, your ability to build rapport with our guests and share your knowledge and passion for the local surrounding area is the key to success.
This is permanent, full time position and candidates should be prepared to commit for at least one year.

- Applicants should be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, although assistance to obtain this may be provided for some roles.
- All positions at Aoraki Mt Cook Alpine Village Ltd have accommodation provided as part of our unique lifestyle package, with the weekly board & lodgings rates including three meals a day and power. Due to the idyllic, isolated location of Mt Cook, you will need to be comfortable working and living in a remote location.
