Our business is Fiordland National Park Lodge, located in the stunning Fiordland National Park at Te Anau Downs. We are excited about re opening our Café offering breakfast, day-time café food and evening set menu.
We are a small team passionate about hospitality and ensuring our guests’ experience and satisfaction is paramount.
This position is full-time, fixed-term Mid-August – April, working a flexible schedule worked over a 7-day roster. Pre-opening you will have the opportunity to organise your kitchen the way you like it, making it your own.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Presenting consistently good quality breakfast buffet, café and set menu food.
- Food ordering, preparation and control.
- Achieving all safety, hygiene and food quality targets.
- Ensure all cleaning is thoroughly carried out.
- Creating and implementing an operating environment that ensures a healthy staff culture.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Recent experience cooking in a similar accommodation facility.
- Input into menu planning.
- The ability to work autonomously, prioritise and plan your own work load.
- Effectively communicate with Management and Staff.
- Demonstrate understanding of administrative procedures.
