Our client is a general sales agent and representative company, representing overseas companies to the New Zealand Travel Industry. They are a fast-paced and dynamic team of industry professionals and travel experts.
About The OpportunityThey are now looking for a Travel Reservations Consultant to join their company in Auckland, NZ, with the potential to earn a $40,000 per annum base salary + excellent bonus scheme.
The primary purpose of the position is being the front line consultant selling their wide product range over the phone and via email to NZ based retail travel consultants.
Reporting directly to the Manager some of your responsibilities will include:
- Tailor making packages as requested by agents
- Check availability and rates with suppliers and construct detailed itinerary
- Book online or via email required package components with suppliers
- Enter bookings on internal reservation/invoicing system
- Email booking confirmations to agents and suppliers
- Dispatch travel documents to agents
- Previous experience in a similar position is desired
- Working knowledge of European and Asian destinations is desired
- Experienced in selling / up selling / switch selling
- Excellent phone manner and written skills are essential
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently
- Previous experience with TourPlan & WordPress is desirable
