We are seeking for passionate person to lead our team as Restaurant Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Manage the entire operation of the restaurant/ bar
  • Recruiting, training and supervising staff
  • Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences.
  • monitor and oversee purchase of groceries and liquor.
  • planning menus and discuss them with chef and other staff for implementation
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/ guidelines
  • promoting and marketing the business in local area.
  • estimates consumption forecast requirements and maintain inventory.
  • Ordering cleaning supplies and inventory.
  • producing staff rosters
  • Ensuring that staff requirements are met as per rosters, replacing any absences, that staff are clearly directed and treated within the terms of their employment contracts and house policies and procedures
  • handling customer enquirers and complaints.
  • taking reservations
  • Greeting and advising customers
  • keeping and updating financial records
  • assessing and improving profitability
  • maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety.
  • order stationary, check cash levels and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
  • Handling administration and paperwork
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Evaluate staff performance and customer satisfaction levels for improvement.
  • Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant

 

Skills & Experience


Your skills and experience will include:

 

  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Confidence to show us your exceptional abilities and passion with Italian food and beverage.
  • Hold a LCQ and GM certificate.
  • Hold Food and Safety Ccertificate.
  • Excellent communication skills both in English.
  • Strenuous management acumen and excellent customer service skills.
  • Energy, a guest focus and the ability to think outside of the square.
  • Impeccable personal grooming.
  • Applicants must also have manager's certificate
  • Barista experience
  • Flexibility in available hours, covering late nights.

 

Candidates with current and valid New Zealand citizenship, residency or work visa with unlimited working hours are preferred for this position.
