Nelson Marlborough Health has an experienced Audiology team with four clinical staff who provide excellent comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation services through modern and well equipped facilities in Nelson and Blenheim. The Audiology Team Leader works closely with a wide multidisciplinary team including ENTs, Paediatricians, Newborn Hearing Screeners, Early Intervention Specialists and Vision/ Hearing Testers to ensure delivery of quality family-centred care across the region. Audiology is a key member of the Allied Health Service with the Team Leader reporting to the Director of Allied Health.

We require someone with a Masters of Audiology Degree who is a member of NZ Audiological Society and holds a current practising certificate. At least five years of clinical experience is necessary, preferably with an emphasis in paediatrics.

As Team Leader (Operational and Professional) you are accountable for the smooth day-to-day operation of the Audiology Department and ensuring that staff provide an efficient and effective service. Whilst based in Nelson, this is a district wide role and travel between the two hospitals will be essential. The current Team Leader, Jackie Clemmer, intends to stay on in a part time capacity and will help to ensure a smooth and thorough transition into the role.
