- Do you have a genuine passion for providing training, education and support to help people with asthma / COPD and their families to lead as normal lifestyle as possible?
- Are you a registered nurse with at least three years post-registration experience?
- Are you well-organised, highly self-motivated and capable of working to a high standard on your own, and also as part of a team?
- Are you a skilled and empathetic communicator who has a strong customer service focus?
Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are distressing and complex conditions that affect New Zealanders from all walks of life, but our goals are simple - to help those affected to live better lives by reducing asthma and COPD episodes and assisting people to self-manage their respiratory health.
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic nurse educator to join our Auckland Region team. Although knowledge of asthma and other respiratory conditions will be an advantage, the successful candidate will demonstrate passion, drive and commitment for the cause. This full-time role reports to the Nurse Manager and the Chief Executive.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and also hold a New Zealand Driver Licence. You must also hold a current practicing certificate and have completed (or be prepared to complete) the Asthma & COPD Nursing Courses run by Asthma New Zealand/Unitec Institute of Technology.
