If you are NZ trained, and have experience in aged care with InteRai and have a passion for working with the elderly, then this could be for you. New aged-care facilities are looking for you - here it is a pleasure to work in a lovely modern environment in facilities throughout Auckland.
Our client requires experienced RN's who have previous aged care experience. The more experience you have will be reflected in your salary.
The role and you:

Be a N.Z. trained Registered Comprehensive Nurse with a current AP Certificate

Provide high level care to residents and support village residents

Support the Clinical Manager and other team members

Taking charge of the Care Centre as required, e.g. if the sole Registered Nurse on duty, and make appropriate clinical decisions in isolation. This includes recognition of when it is appropriate to seek additional clinical input.

Have good communication skills and ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and implemented

Have an empathy and understanding of the needs of the older person.

Have high clinical and personal standards

Be able to provide supervision, coaching and support to the Enrolled Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Healthcare Assistants involved in the delivery of care.
Competencies, Qualifications and Attributes
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate
- A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village setting.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient.
- Meet NZNC competencies
- Permanent resident or working Visa
